Why do we upgrade matsuhaku's products and use infrared to automatically detect and compensate for medium water temperature?
The reasons are as follows:
【Dependence of Density on Temperature】
The density of all solid, liquid materials depends on temperature.
A general rule is:
【The higher the temperature, the lower the density】.
Materials expand when heated; in other words: their volume increases.
Therefore the density of materials will decrease as their volume increases.
This is more noticeable in liquids than in solids.
Q: Why do we use infrared temperature automatic correction device in TWS density meter?
A: Temperature Dependency of Density
The dependence of density on temperature may be calculated with the aid of the volume expansion coefficient γ.
In general, the expansion coefficient is only given for a set temperature range (e.g. 20 °C to 100 °C) for which a linear approximation is permissible.
Numerical values forγof different liquids may be found in physical chemistry tables.
Usually, with solid bodies the expansion coefficient αis given.
To convert the linear calculation into the volume expansion coefficient, use the relationshipγ= 3 α.
The density of a substance at temperature T2 can be calculated with the aid of the temperature T1
and the volume expansion coefficient:
